Participation Topic #2: Does the internet advance or impede our ability as citizens?
The Internet is very special and very unique..... when used correctly, not for social media or playing video games and watching entertainment on Youtube. Its a source we can use when textbooks or books are not in the house or a ten minute drive to a library. The Internet is our medium, you ever hear a new movie come out and people argue that the book was better or no, the movie was way better. Some people can not function on textbooks or books but through videos and learning online with articles or presentations. I myself do enjoy reading books or textbooks and also watching videos on youtube towards my class. There is a time for everything and everything needs time. what I mean is the Internet is very powerful where you can literally find any question that you might be concerned with in minutes. Now the issue is, having that question answered and then playing PC games for three hours. Thats called imbalance, thus blaming the internet for letting us play videogames. no no, that is incorrect. the internet does not force to waste your time being dumb, we choose to use the internet way.

MY RESPONSE: I completely agree with nimo, the Internet is a choice not a forced decision that google, or the Internet told us follow by. We may use Internet to distract us from doing homework or completing work outside the computer. You may use the Internet for information on essays, homework, powerpoints, watching youtube videos on daily news. The Internet is there, we can shut it off or turn it off.
