Texas Seeks More Armed School Personnel After Mass Shooting

Agree or disagree?

This has gotten a bunch of attention, obviously to the numerous mass shootings in the last two years happening in colleges and even High Schools. Does that mean we push for a law for teachers and staff has weapons concealed in their locked drawers or offices. Jim Vertuno, author of "Texas Seeks More Armed School Personnel After Mass Shooting", has collected this information that states, "According to the Giffords Law Center, there have been more than 65 reported incidents of mishandled guns at schools in the last five years, ranging from a teacher's gun falling from his waistband to a security guard leaving a weapon on a bathroom counter". Now we have a sixty-five percent of this occurring in any school and kids taking the opportunity to fire and injure kids around them. If were are going to allow these laws to take over these schools, then we must enforce more responsibility on what teacher carries a firearm in their class. A quick scenario like this, two kids to start to argue and fight in class, one of them says "Im going to kill you with the misses gun she got in her desk". This is very possible because if the law will be passed, it will not be passed in the dark, its going to be in the light and kids will know about it and some might take an opportunity to take that gun and fire. who knows, even a teen could get a bullied profusely and say "you know what, the teachers have already made it easy for me, I don't even have to purchase a gun, I'll go straight into the principles office and get it from there". My humble opinion and my knowledge says no we should not pass any or anymore laws upon armed schools because of small sight of carelessness and chances of kids getting their hands on them. If we were to keep passing laws upon armed schools, then teachers who volunteer to carry a firearm must go through training, courses and an exam to ensure safety for themselves and their students.
